EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

The pillar of this Organization in the true sense of the meaning, this department does only represent the beginning stages of our CAP Kids school life, it also symbolizes the beginning of Child Academy Programmes as a whole. The building is one of the first structures to be built and then opened to the public in 2007.

After years of training teachers to become competent, nurturing educators, the founder Mr. Isaac L. Mahlatsi believed that he was able to then create a reality from his philosophy, by bringing everything he had worked for into one wholesome environment.

Now that the schools foundation was fully operational, with the strong support from the community, the aim to grow and provide a learning euphoria for the children of Tembisa became the main objective.

Within a few years, Child Academy Community Crèche introduced its foundation stage. The teaching method, to which the ECD was built on, was inspired by Mr. Mahlatsi’s interest in the Montessori child development framework.

He strongly believed that children are curious, creative thinkers and must not only be taught, they must be shown, allowed to show and encouraged to explore.

This philosophy has remained our objective ever since and we invite you to come explore how CAP prioritizes our children’s development, in order for you to make a firm decision that your child’s well-being and development is in the right hands and place.

This method allows us to support our learner’s interests and foster their intellectual development.
